The blog for history-Tan Kah Kee

He is our father. He is our man. He is our soul.
He is the founder of the Chinese High School.
He was a prominent buisnessman, community leader, and philanthropist in colonial Singapore, and eventually a respectable communist leader in the People's Republic of China.
He was born in Jimei, Xiamen, Fujian Province, and went to Singapore with much persuasion from his father. His mother had prevented his father from taking his son away to Singapore for helping out with the buisness earlier, this could not be prevented. Eventually, he went to Singapore in 1890 , when he was 16 years old.

Tan Kah Kee is one of the more important ancestors for Singapore.

As such, this blog would be dedicated to Tan Kah Kee.
